Default Other meds and health conditions with HGH?

Several health issues and medications are of concern before proceeding to try an HGH enhancer/precurser.
First of all, I have been on HRT (estrogen) since my total hysterectomy 4 years ago. I feel great on them, but if I forget to take it, the hot flashes, anxiety, foggy concentration and nausia come develope. I am also on the lowest dose of Zoloft and this works fabulous for my anxiety. Not to mention some low Thyroid and low adrenal symptoms too, l of which are being treated naturally.
What effect would HGH have in my condition...one who is on HRT and an anti-depressant. I'm still trying to "fine-tone" my total well being. I am 49, work out 5 days a week ..exercising and eating a very healthy low carb, moderate protein diet, of mostly veggies, fresh fruits and lean meats....yet have only lost 10 pounds the past year. Need to loose about 20 more to get to my ideal weight.
I'm also so tired after I work exercise and find it more difficult to complete house chores too. This is why I'd like to try HGH.
In personal research on HGH effects, I found mention of it's insulin-growth factor . What does this mean? Does it have an effect on insulin and glucose levels? What effect would it have on one who is hypoglycemic or diabetic?
I'd sure appreciate any info. regarding these questions of great concern.
Thankyou.

Hi jdringer,

Welcome to our forums. Concerning your questions, HGH therapy is known to improve problems with glands and other hormones. For instance, improving HGH in the body may improve thyroid situations, I have had a good many clients with hypothyroidism over these past years and they have reported improvements with their thyroid problems.

Improving HGH has also been found to improve the sex hormones. In your case, because you have had a complete hysterectomy, you no longer have your ovaries, which are the main source of the female hormones, and so HGH therapy would not be able to improve your estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone release and it can in women who have their ovaries, however, HGH therapy should still help because HGH therapy does help with many of the same symptoms seen with menopause or low sex hormones in women. Since you no longer have your ovaries my recommendation would be to continue with your female HRT (if your doctor agrees) because the female hormones are very important to the health and well being of women, no matter their age.

Regarding the Zoloft, homeopathic HGH should not interfere with or cause you any problems while taking your med. I would like to mention that I have had clients who have seen improvements in their depression and anxiety and so their doctor's were able to wean them off their meds. Human growth hormone is the body's repair and maintenance hormone and so its effects are seen throughout the entire body and this includes the nervous system.

HGH has been found to reduce stress, it actually acts like an antidepressant in the brain because it raises the level of the neurotransmitter B-endorphin, which is the brain's opiate that gives us good feelings and the feelings of wellbeing. HGH also helps to lower dopamine levels in the brain, which plays a role in causing feelings of agitation.

You asked about insulin-like growth factor-1. IGF-1 is the primary growth factor of HGH. Once released into the bloodstream by the pituitary gland, HGH remains in the bloodstream only briefly, just long enough for its uptake into the liver. The liver converts the HGH into growth factors, including IGF-1. It is actually IGF-1 that gives us the majority of benefits associated with HGH.

HGH and IGF-1 do have an influence on insulin, they have been found in studies to improve glucose metabolism and decrease insulin resistance. Although some early studies using large doses of synthetic HGH injections showed that HGH caused increased insulin resistance, later studies have shown that after 6 months of HGH therapy insulin sensitivity returned to baseline, and glucose metabolism has been shown to improve.
Dr. Thierry Hertoghe believes that HGH helps to promote the action of insulin. He believes that because HGH helps to direct the insulin to put glucose into the muscular cells, cardiac cells, and nerve cells, rather than the fat cells of the body, HGH may actually help to improve diabetes.

The experiments of Dr. Greg Fahy, have shown human growth hormone to be beneficial for diabetes. He has stated that he may have discovered a method of curing adult-onset Type II diabetes using HGH. It is believed that a main reason why HGH has a positive effect on insulin resistance is due to the ability of HGH to reduce central belly fat.

At our HGH-Pro.com site there is a link to an article I wrote about HGH and Diabetes. The article speaks about HGH and IGF-1 and their effect on diabetes.

Over the past 5 3/4 years I have had diabetic clients report improvements while taking our homeopathic HGH products, and some have reported that their doctor was able to decrease or discontinue their diabetic medication because they no longer needed it.

That being said, diabetics taking any type of HGH therapy should monitor their glucose levels and notify their doctor of any changes. If one takes HGH therapy while taking insulin or a diabetic medication by mouth, it may be that the need for his/her medication may decrease, and so the patient's doctor would need to adjust the medication dose.

In closing I would like to say that I always recommend everyone consult their private healthcare provider about taking our homeopathic HGH products or any HGH therapy and always follow their private healthcare provider's instructions and advice.

Default Insulin factor

Thank you very much for the info. Lisa. It's a wealth of information too.
(which I printed out).
Though I am not Diabetic yet, I am ahd have been hypoglycemic for 18 years and have been on medication to keep my blood sugars from falling the past 8 years. So, hope fully, HGH will not cause my blood sugars to get low, but only act as enhancing the utilization of glusoe and insulin, right?

Default HGH and Blood Sugar - reply to previous post.

You are very welcome. You are correct, HGH therapy should not cause your blood sugar to become lower, it should help to improve your body's utilization of insulin and glucose. If you have a way to monitor your blood sugar, I recommend you monitor it during your HGH therapy, especially during the beginning, and show the results to your doctor.

Hi friends
As you told already that what effect would HGH have in your condition? One who is on HRT and an anti-depressant? It is very good that you are trying to "fine-tone" my total well being. You are 49, work out 5 days a week. Exercising and eating a very healthy low carb, in the case of your age tensions took place normally very early. So do not be depressed and do your work with great concentration, depression will remove automatically.
