Hi,
I'm 23 years old 5'10. I've been that height since I was 18. Since I had crohns disease and took predisone for more than 3 years I think It may have affected my bone mass. If my genetics followed its normal biological path, I should have been 6'2. I'm researching on the benefits of HGH. I'm looking to increase my height by atleast an inch or two. At age 23 can HGH enhance my height or is it too late.? Last edited by admin; 07-12-2006 at 02:24 PM. |

Dear CNsmiles
,Thank you for visiting our forums. I must first apologize for the delay in response. Our forums have been offline for about one month. Thankfully, they are back up and functioning properly. I understand you are primarily interested in gaining height, and you are 23 years old. You may find some web sites claiming their product can increase height substantially in adults, I heard where one site was claiming their non-HGH product could increase height by 6 inches, but I have seen no evidence that supports any product increasing long bone growth in adults and so I wouldn't recommend you waste your money on such a product. The truth is, long bone growth occurs during the growth and development stage of life only, which is during childhood and adolescence. During this stage HGH plays an important role in making bones grow. After the growth and development stage of life is completed, usually between the ages of 18 up to 25, long bone growth is completed. HGH then helps to keep the bones healthy and affects bone density. When taking the HGH injections some adult patients past the age of long bone growth did see a small increase in height, but the increase was only about 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches at the most, and it took at least one year of HGH injection therapy to see that improvement. This is because the small increase in height they saw was not caused by long bone growth, but was caused by an increase in bone density, and bone density increases very slowly. I have had some positive reports in regards to increased height from teenagers who take our product with their physicians approval, so I believe it may help long bone growth for those still in their growth and development phase, however, after the growth phase is completed any increase in height would be the result of increased bone density. You asked if it is already too late for your height to increase. At age 23 you are coming to the end of your growth phase, however, perhaps you still a little time left. Also, at your age it is very important that you only take HGH therapy with the approval of your private physician. I wish you the best. Lisa Wells, RN Last edited by admin; 07-12-2006 at 02:23 PM. |
